Project Brief

The ICT lab at the Mantse Tackie Tawiah I Cluster of Schools in Adabraka, established in 1947, has been transformed to serve over 1,000 students.

On May 10, 2023, leaders from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in West Africa joined community and tribal leaders in Accra, Ghana, for an Opening Day ceremony to launch a renovation project at the school.

The Church, in collaboration with the Ga Mantse Education Committee, funded the renovation of the primary classroom building and the construction of a new library, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) block and bathroom facilities.

The project began on August 2, 2021, during the King’s 50th birthday, reflecting his commitment to enhancing educational infrastructure for the children in his community.

After a needs assessment by TECHAiDE, the company was contracted in March 2024 to develop a new ICT lab for the cluster of schools. The school now boasts a modern ICT center with 40 computers and upgraded classrooms.
