Project Brief
TECHAiDE, in partnership with Société Générale Private Banking (SGPB) and Solted, has inaugurated a state-of-the-art 9-seater EDULab Digital Library at Osu Salem Road Basic School, Accra. This initiative marks another step in advancing inclusive and technology-driven education in Ghana.
The solar-powered computer lab, powered by Solted, integrates TECHAiDE’s ASANKA solution, which provides offline access to rich digital content—ensuring “smart learning anywhere” and improving both teaching and learning outcomes.
The dedication ceremony was attended by Ouzzani Hakim, Managing Director of Société Générale Bank Ghana, accompanied by senior leadership, the Director of Education for the municipality, leaders of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, local assembly representatives, school leadership, teachers, students, and partners.
In his remarks, Thomas Eghan Ekuban, Head of Business Operations at TECHAiDE, highlighted the transformative role of the EDULab and ASANKA in bridging the digital divide, empowering students with vital skills, and supporting teachers with seamless offline access to educational resources.
The Director of Education and the Headteacher expressed deep appreciation for the project, encouraging responsible use and maintenance of the facility. Both SGPB and Solted reaffirmed their commitment to supporting education in Ghana as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility.
The ceremony concluded with a symbolic sod-cutting and the formal handover of the lab to the school and municipal education authorities. The excitement and gratitude displayed by students and teachers underscored the impact of this milestone project.
TECHAiDE remains steadfast in its mission to work with partners to leverage technology for education—ensuring that no child is left behind.
