Project Brief
Yamoransa Model Lab 5 in Kyebi, Ghana, provides over 4,000 students with a computer lab, STEM kits, and teacher training.
TECHAiDE, in collaboration with IMPLEMENTERS and Helping Africa Foundation (HAF), has completed the fifth Yamoransa Model (YM) Lab in Kyebi, Eastern Region of Ghana. This project benefits over 4,000 learners annually, offering better educational opportunities through modern technology.
Supported by Dr. Deborah Rose, President of Friends of Yamoransa Foundation (FYF), and Mr. Japhet Aryiku, Executive Director of HAF, and following consultations with the President of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo, TECHAiDE made this project a reality.
The J. B. Danquah Memorial Centre, built by Huawei Ghana as a humanitarian project, was chosen as the site. It now includes a 41-seater computer lab, advanced STEM robotic kits, EDULab, and ASANKA devices. The project also features teacher training, a surveillance camera system, and quarterly maintenance visits.
This initiative provides students in Kyebi with improved educational resources, enhancing their learning experiences and preparing them for future opportunities. The YM Lab’s technology integration ensures learners gain essential skills, contributing to the community’s growth.
