TECHAiDE was honoured to be one of the selected businesses invited to present its innovative solution, ASANKA, during a recent visit by Mr. Osama Makkawi, UNICEF’s Representative in Ghana. The event was organized as part of the activities for the UNICEF StartUp Labs, an initiative put together by the Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST) Africa to showcase groundbreaking innovations that aim to address pressing challenges in Africa.
This event provided TECHAiDE with a unique platform to meet UNICEF Ghana’s Country Representative and share insights into technology’s powerful role in education. Representing TECHAiDE at the event were Mr. Kafui Prebbie, CEO, and Mr. Thomas Ekuban, Head of Business Operations, who led the presentation.
ASANKA (All Subjects And New Knowledge Access) is TECHAiDE’s flagship product, designed to revolutionize education by enabling offline access to academic content in remote areas with little or no internet connectivity. During the presentation, Mr. Ekuban showcased how ASANKA is bridging the educational gap in underserved communities, providing students and teachers with crucial learning materials.
In his closing remarks, Mr. Makkawi praised the entrepreneurs’ efforts, saying, “I feel that Africa is safe if these are the minds behind them.” His words powerfully endorsed the role TECHAiDE and other innovators play in shaping Africa’s future through cutting-edge technology and education solutions.
The event was a pivotal moment for TECHAiDE, highlighting its commitment to using technology as a catalyst for change in education. With global partners like UNICEF, and through platforms such as the UNICEF StartUp Lab, TECHAiDE is poised to expand its reach and further impact the educational landscape across Africa.
