TECHAiDE was founded by Kafui A. Prebbie, MBI – a technology entrepreneur with long history of activism in ICTs for Development internationally, in the quest to partner highly skilled and passionate professionals of integrity to affect lives and make the world a better place!

In partnership with non-profits, religious organizations, private institutions and philanthropists, TechAide’s approach improves education and economic opportunity for Africans. Our experience with deploying ICT solutions in harsh rural conditions, coupled with our team’s ability to speak local languages and knowledge of the challenges in such areas, allows us to leverage our strengths.

Kafui is a dynamic and result-laden Global Development Expert, Project Manager and Social Entrepreneur with a focus on Technology. He has long history of activism in ICTs for Development internationally and several years’ experience in technology integration projects, training and managing development projects funded by USAID, European Union, British Council, International Institute for Communications and Development and the Partnership for Higher Education in Africa. Kafui has developed thriving technology products and managed projects addressing educational needs currently impacting over twenty thousand learners across Ghana and West Africa.

His research, speaking engagements, training, and consulting experience includes assignments completed for various institutions including International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX), USA; International Institute for Communications and Development (IICD), Netherlands; Students Bridging the Information Gap, USA; International Development Research Center (IDRC); Plan International, Ghana/USA; World Education International, USA; and the Commonwealth of Learning in Canada.

Originally trained as Mathematics Educationist, Kafui has post graduate education in Project Management, Corporate Governance, Human Resource Management, Statistics and Finance. Kafui volunteers widely and his latest has been with the US President’s Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) initiated to support an emerging generation of African leaders. He believes in youth development!

With more than 12 years of rich and diverse experiences in the areas of program planning, design and management of integrated community development initiatives, Tawiah Agyarko-Kwarteng is a skilled development practitioner with proven success in the implementation of complex partnership programs with multiple stakeholders (NGO, public and private/corporate). She has worked predominantly in the West African sub-region, with experiences in formal and non-formal education, girls’ and women’s’ empowerment, HIV/AIDS and health, agricultural development and capacity building for local institutions.

Tawiah was previously Project Director at World Education, Inc., where she managed a team to provide functional literacy training and education to adults and out of school children in cocoa-growing communities in Ghana. She also managed girls’ education programs, supported HIV/AIDS and health projects, and developed new business for World Education in the sub-region. She is passionate about social entrepreneurship and has worked with Beautiful Soul Africa, a growth accelerator for social entrepreneurs to expand its programming in Ghana. She provides consultancy services, training and resource mobilization support to local organizations and has also initiated a community-based literacy and learning center in one of Accra’s neighborhoods to help children succeed in school. A native of Ghana, Tawiah has a Masters degree in Public Administration in International Development (MPA/ID) from Harvard Kennedy School (J.F.K School of Government), Cambridge, Massachusetts and a BSc. in Development Policy Planning from KNUST, Kumasi, Ghana.

Jophus Anamuah-Mensah, Ed.D., has extensive knowledge and experience in Education and has deep passion for Technology application in Education. He is Executive Chair of Teacher Education in Sub Saharan Africa, and the Director of School and Community Science and Technology Studies (SACOST) at the University of Education, Winneba, (UEW) Ghana. He was for nine years the Principal and Vice Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba, the first university in Africa dedicated to teacher education. He has taught and researched in science education from kindergarten to the university level.

He has contributed greatly to the development of open distance learning in Ghana and was the chair of the committee that produced a blueprint for an open university for Ghana. He established the Centre for School and Community Science and Technology Studies in 2000 and the Department of Early Childhood Care and Development in 2005 at UEW. He also set up the National Centre for Research into Basic Education to provide evidence-based information that addresses issues covering the 11 years of basic education, i.e., from kindergarten to junior high school.

In 1996, he started a PhD program at the University of Cape Coast, which became the yardstick for similar programs in other areas. He is the chief architect of Ghana’s current educational reform, which introduced ECD into the formal curriculum and placed emphasis on science, technology, innovation and skill development. In 2006, Prof. Anamuah-Mensah was given the country’s second highest award, the Order of the Volta by the President of Ghana. In 2010, he received an award from the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs of Ghana for his dedication to the cause of Ghanaian children.

He has extensive background in Small Business & International Development for job creation as well as functional Project Management, (time, quality & cost management) skills. He is highly versed in multiple international settings with a fluency in cross-cultural understanding, French and American Sign Language.

Michael Atiwoto is an experienced Project Cost Analysts with a certificate in Management Accounting from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CImA)-UK, He also holds a BSc in Banking and Finance from the University of Professional Studies Accra-Ghana and a Group Diploma in Accounting.

Michael has over 10 years on hand information in the following areas such as ICT, Project Management, Management Accounting, Auditing, Mining, Construction, Waste Management, Hospitality, Manufacturing and Commodity Industry.

Michael was a former Project Site Accounts Officer of a Millennium Challenge Corporation sponsored project under the supervision of MiDA Ghana on the Improvement of Volta Lake Transport Company (VLTC) Ferry Crossing Landing Port at Afram Plains. He is currently in charge of Techaide Finance Department and has an oversight responsibility in projects costs controls and budgeting for Management.

Selassie Emmanuel Anku is Computer and Network Expert specialised in designing and supporting computer networks with more than 8 years experience. His competencies lie in remotely monitoring and giving technical support, troubleshooting of networks, installing, configuring of routers and switches, Digital Libraries and Virtual Computing solutions. He also served in the capacity as backup engineer for Ebola Response Connectivity Initiative Network Operating Centre, Ghana. A practicing certified Field Associate of WiderNet Project, a non-profit organization affiliated with the University of North Carolina, USA. Rich in experience Designing and Coding of forms used for data collection on Windows, Android phones and Tablets platforms.

Cisco Certified Network Administrator from the Cisco Networking Academy and Computer Driving Licence from the Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT.

He has over a decade experience in education and technology integration, training and managing development projects funded by the European Union, USAID, British Council, International Institute for Communications and Development and the Partnership for Higher Education in Africa.

His research, speaking engagements, training, and consulting experience includes assignments completed for various institutions globally.His nine (9) years experience as an Administration and Instruction at the ICT Center of the University of Education in Ghana. Originally trained as Professional Educator, Kafui received a Bachelors in Mathematics Education and Certificate in Statistics from the University of Ghana. He also has Executive Certificates in Project Management, NGO Operations, Corporate Governance, Human Resource Management and Finance.

Kafui loves to support great initiatives and thus volunteered to support the US President’s Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI).

FJ CAVA – Chief Operations Officer

FJ Cava has extensive background – over twenty plus years, in Small Business & International Development for job creation as well as functional Project Management, (time, quality & cost management) skills. He is highly versed in multiple international settings with a fluency in cross-cultural understanding in French, American Sign Language and native English. FJ Cava, got his MBA in Entrepreneurship from San Francisco State University.

FJ’s work with International Telecommunications Union (ITU), Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center, and Inveneo along with his MBA from San Francisco State University, have provided him highly transferable skills and flexibility, effective interpersonal skills, cross-departmental communication as well as project maintenance and tracking. His project management experience is best demonstrated in the Haiti Connected Cities BATI program. Of my many career successes, I have personally lead the design, implementation and growth of the Inveneo Partner Program sales & implementation channel from 15 to 125 Information Technology businesses in 25 countries around the world. Additionally, I have proven networking, coalition building, and strategy skills.
